Our Advanced Medical Aesthetics Program meets all the Oregon state requirements to become a Certified Advanced Esthetician.
The field of medical aesthetics is one of the fastest growing career options in the country. Our Advanced Medical Aesthetics & Laser Program is for the Licensed Esthetician wanting to become a Certified Advanced Esthetician who is committed to working in the exciting and challenging field of medical aesthetics. This 500-hour program takes a little over four months and you will graduate and be able to perform laser treatments and work with other advanced devices in the growing field of medical aesthetics.
Learn photo rejuvenation, body contouring, skin rejuvenation, dyschromia reduction, tattoo removal, body contouring and cellulite reduction. You will learn hands-on with state-of-the-art devices, like Cutera XEO, RF microneedling, Hydrafacial, Coolsculpting, Clear+Brilliant, Ulthera and more. No school has more options for equipment!
Get advanced training on chemical peels, medical skincare and more. Graduate from our program, pass your state board exam and go to work in a plastic surgery or dermatology office. Or, if you have an entrepreneurial spirit, open your own med-spa!

What Is The In-House On-Campus Program?
The in-house on-campus program operates Monday through Thursday between 9 am and 4 pm. Classes start at regular intervals and take approximately 4.5 months to complete. Small classes of six to eight students guarantee personalized training with plenty of hands-on supervision from our qualified instructors. The program length is 500 hours plus completion of required hands-on treatments to demonstrate growing proficiencies.
What Is The Online Hybrid Program?
The online hybrid program is a part-time option that allows you to complete the theory portion online through our secure portal. You will receive individualized mentoring with our specially trained staff. Hands-on training will be provided at our location in Tigard – coordinating your schedule with your instructor on Mondays and Tuesdays. Once you reach your senior level, you will work your way into providing treatments to real clients in our med spa setting. The online hybrid program takes approximately ten months to complete.
What Didactic Education Is Included?
Both program options include courses in advanced laser and light based device theory, ANSI and OSHA standards, standard operating procedures for lasers and light based devices, potential hazards, complications, common indications, and post procedure education as well as units on exfoliation treatments with both mechanical and chemical modalities, medical skincare, and CPR and First Aid certification.
What Practical Hands-On Experience Is Included?
You will learn laser hair removal, tattoo removal, body contouring with laser lipolysis, cryolipolysis, and radio frequency. You will learn cellulite reduction, skin rejuvenation with IPL Photofacial, RF microneedling, microneedling, laser skin resurfacing, chemical peels and more.
What Is Tuition/Costs?
Program costs include all fees and tuition, training materials, books, customized skincare and an impressive student kit. The full-time program will include a Career Success Package with Electric Beauty. You will receive professional headshots, a custom marketing video and a social media consultation to jumpstart your career upon graduation.

We are an approved vendor through Oregon’s Work-Innovation-Opportunity-Act. Meet with your county’s counselor at WIOA and get tuition financed through the state of Oregon, if approved.
Who Are The Instructors?
We have educators who are national award winning industry experts who are committed to students’ success.
Each educator holds both tiers of licensure and have performed thousands of the treatments they are teaching. They also hold the esteemed Milady or Pivot Point Master Educator certification.
Educators have multiple certifications in all treatments, devices and skincare brands. Spectrum is recognized by ASCP and Dermascope as an Industry Influencer.
Is Lodging Available?
Many of our students travel from locations across the Pacific Northwest and beyond.
There are numerous hotels within a 3 mile radius of the school. We also have an agreement with the Fairfield Inn & Suites in Lake Oswego for discounted rates. Mention Spectrum when you call for reservations. Students have also found housing through AirBnB and other short term residency options.
Are There Job Placement Opportunities?
We receive inquiries weekly from physicians’ offices, dermatologists, plastic surgeons, medi-spas, aesthetic sales and more. We pass all of these inquiries onto our students.
Many of them have secured jobs prior to or shortly after completing the program. We also offer business development support for students desiring to open their own medispas. Our students are sought out but we do not guarantee placement.
Is There A Dress Code?
Students should wear solid colored scrubs and tennis shoes or professional closed toed shoes.
